I’ve never kept it a secret that I live to accessorize. I’m the type of girl who feels naked when she steps out of the house without the works – necklace, rings, bracelet, bag. Like today. I feel naked today because I forget my necklace, so instead I’m shopping pretty things on Etsy. I’m a huge fan of handmade and unique jewelry as opposed to the costume crap you can find at Forever 21 (Although, there is a whole lot of that in my closet. Who can resist a good trend?) and Etsy is definitely the place where you’ll find the biggest diversity of options. So, instead of keeping them a secret, I wanted to share some of my favorites with you!
Okay, the truth is I’m a sucker for any jewelry that’s laser cut wood, mostly because it’s not something I can make myself and I don’t really get how it works, but I love the final product and that is definitely true with this shop. There are just so many cute options, but the custom author pendants are by far my favorite as they would be for any lit nerd! Excuse my while I go order 1 Edgar Allan Poe and 1 Mark Twain.
Hawk House is my spirit animal. No joke, one day I was wondering if raw opals were as pretty as polished ones and what they would look like in jewelry and BAM! This pops up right in my face. It’s like the Internet can hear my thoughts. The jewelry from Hawk House is a little bit raw and rough around the edges, but still insanely gorgeous. I can’t even handle it.
If you don’t want to wear donuts on your ears and macaroons around your neck, you’re lying to yourself! Not only is the jewelry insanely cute, but it’s also incredibly well crafted and detailed. This is craftsmanship and it’s worth every penny. The hard part is deciding if you want the Strawberry Heart Cookie Earrings or the Donut Necklace…or both!
Now, I’ve been following this shop for a long time. It’s one of the first shops I’ve favorited when I signed up for the site in 2012 and many of those early shops are now closed, but bellehibou has only gotten better. Nowadays, the shop carries more than just jewelry, but the jewelry selection is so sweet that I have to include it in the list. The photography is gorgeous and gives each piece a dreamy, wanderlusty feel.
This shop is my go-to if I’m looking for a personal gift for an animal lover, because not only do they do adorable clay animal jewelry, but you can also get custom pet portraits made! I actually bought a cat portrait of our family cat for my mom and she loved it. But seriously, look at the unicorn!
Oh man. This jewelry line will have you daydreaming. Michelle Chang is definitely on the more expensive end of jewelry lines that I follow, but you can immediately see why. These gorgeous, tiny pieces are so detailed with such tiny stones, they must have taken forever to make. I’ve been eyeballing her tiny skull ring for a while now.
This shop is so insanely creative, it blows me away every time. The pieces are bold, but not overwhelming and perfect for work. And the price point is perfect for anyone on a budget and you’re guaranteed to find something you like because there are over 600 styles in stock in this shop right now.
I’m throwing my little baby jewelry shop in the mix because I have big dreams and high hopes for it and I’m taking inspirational cues on products and photography from all of these amazing shops above! So bookmark me and get excited for what’s to come!
Those are just some of my faves, but be sure to share yours in the comments!
